The deadline for WATA 2018 is rapidly approaching, and this year the event will be hosted by Leipzig University. WATA covers all aspects of weighted automata, and aims to present tutorials and survey lectures by outstanding scientists in this area. Tutorials will be given by Mikołaj Bojańczyk (Warsaw, Poland), Frank Drewes (Umeå, Sweden), and Prakash Panangaden (Montreal, Canada), and survey lectures by, among others, Zoltán Fülöp (Szeged, Hungary), Sebastian Maneth (Bremen, Germany), and Jacques Sakarovitch (Paris, France). Participation is free, and everyone is invited to contribute their own technical contributions in this area.
